Junior WordPress / PHP developer

Mediaforce is seeking a talented Junior WordPress / PHP developer. We are looking for someone that has already had some hands on experience with WordPress and is willing to learn and adapt to our methodologies for development and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with how to create / modify / maintain WordPress themes and plugins. You will also be comfortable with html, javascript, css, and php 7. We commonly use the jQuery javascript library as well.

You will primarily be responsible for updating and maintaining our existing client websites and supporting external contractors. You will also be tasked with identifying and troubleshooting client issues and then remedying or escalating the issues to senior staff. Testing and completing post site launch checklists will also be a large part of this role. You will also be required to work with marketing staff to help configure / design site layouts and structure based on their specifications.

This position offers a healthy mix of working from home and in office. You are more than welcome to work in our office 5 days a week but a typical week will include 2 – 3 mandatory office days that can change week to week with short notice. You will also be required to use your own laptop (windows, mac, or linux welcome) during your evaluation period.
